First Drafts

Every time I make an image, when I get to the end, I always think that I should have saved the various versions as the image evolves.

I didn't exactly do that for the Woodland series, but I do have some of the steps.

The deer started out as a sketch:

I tried a different border for the deer:

I liked it as it was a bit more delicate, but it didn't really work (and looked downright silly with the owl).

The final version of the deer:

The owl went through a few revisions.

I liked this version a lot, but toned it down as it was too different from the others in the set.
