Most of the statues in people's garden fall into the category of "cute", with sub-categories of "whimsical" and "charming". It's unfortunate, really.
Perhaps, when the rabbit in a waistcoat was new, and all his paint was bright and shiny, he made some soul go "awww..." Now, though, his paint is chipped, his ear had to be glued back on, and he has an air of dignity in the face of the ravages of time (at least, as far as a rabbit in a waistcoat and bow tie can).
