Statues: Library Lions

I thought I would try something novel on this blog about Photoshop and actually post photos. :-)

I live in Burlingame, which is a really lovely town, but it does have more money than it knows what to do with. The result... well, there are a lot of results, but one of them is a liberal smattering of statues, all indicative of varying levels of taste.

They seemed like obvious subjects for this blog.

To get us started, outside the local library there are two lions, called Wisdom and Wonder*:

I changed a fair amount: I attempted to get the colors to work a bit better (as the original photo is muted), removed some placards that competed with the lions (clone tool), and made a few other adjustments here and there.

Here's a close up of the lion on the right (who I assume is called Wonder):



*I like the idea of lions outside public buildings, and I am actually quite fond of these two. I have to say, though, that Wisdom and Wonder are not the names that would immediately spring to my mind.
